Question: Can cosmetic products be sold if they were produced 10 days before the expiry of the GOST R Certificate of Conformity? Which document confirms that?
Answer: Yes, the realisation of products released during the certificate validity period does not contradict the actual legislation. The release date should be indicated on the package. Thus, if the products were released during the certificate validity period, their realisation is possible.

Question: Are there customs duties on larch timber (brick), cut, not planed, commodity code 4407109800?
Answer: Yes, the import duty is 15%. No customs duty on export.

Question: Are there customs duties on deal timber, not planed, not hewed, not scraped, without tee bridle? Commodity code 7707109300.
Answer: Yes, the import duty is 15%. No customs duty on export.

Question: Are there customs duties on squared-off birch lumber (blank)? Also, which export code is required?
Answer:
Commodity code 4407992500.
Export duty is 10%, but no less than 5 € per m3.
Export clearance requires phytosanitary certification and additional data in the 31th column of the cargo customs declaration (the description of the goods).
 
If the timber is being registered in export mode or converted outside the customs territory, it is necessary to specify additional information in the 31st column. The information is specified under No. 1, along with other data required by the instruction. The information helps to improve the efficiency of customs clearance and control of goods, and permits clear identification and classification of goods in accordance with the Harmonised Commodity Description and Coding System of Russia.
 
Additional information in the 31st column:
- title of the homogeneous consignment of goods in accordance with the terms and definitions accepted in the forest industry, sort of timber;
- processing type (taper sawn or split, planed or peeled, hewed or not, scraped or not, with or without tee bridle);
- sort or group of sorts of a homogeneous consignment, number of All-Union State Standard or another normative document, registered in the prescribed manner, according to which the sort or group of sorts has been identified;
- nominal dimensions with allowances (length, width, thickness),  number of All-Union State Standard or another normative document, registered in the prescribed manner, according to which the dimensions and allowances were specified;
- humidity when the timber was being sawn, split, peeled, in percentage terms; humidity of the timber when the cargo customs declaration was filled out, in percentage terms;
- the volume of the homogeneous consignment of goods in m3, rounded off to 0,01 m3, number of All-Union State Standard, according to which the volume was specified. The volume can be omitted under No. 1 in the 31st column of the cargo customs declaration, if the declared goods are a homogeneous consignment of timber;
- nominal value of one mfor a homogeneous consignment of goods in the currency indicated in the contract.
 
Phytosanitary control:
Customs clearance of goods from the enclosed stock-list will be complete only after phytosanitary inspection performed by the State Plant Quarantine Inspection officials. Phytosanitary report is documented by the State Inspection for Plants Quarantine official on the customs. Requisites of the report are inserted into the 44th column of the cargo customs declaration under No. 6-;
Quarantine permits on import (as given by Roskarantin, Mostorgoskarantin and Mosoblgoskarantin; defining the demands and conditions of export and use of goods) and phytosanitary certificates of the exporter country (international document, given by the authorities).
 
NO control:
- timber which has undergone thermal treatment;
- timber saturated with antiseptics;
- varnished timber;
- painted timber.
 
Phytosanitary control:

- in all other cases.



Question: Should goods with different commodity codes be packed separately (according to their codes) during customs clearance? (Question from a wallpaper manufacturer).
Answer: Goods with different commodity codes can be packed together, under the condition that the gross and net weight is indicated in the package list, so the data can be inserted in the cargo customs declaration without any delays.
